Monday, June 15

The brush pile is gone after 4 days of 4 hour/day burning.  Plus some help from neighbor Ken with his 1947 Massey Ferguson bulldozer who pushed the remaining pile of wet fir needles and sticks down the hill.  Wendy's garden will be somewhere in this space.

Goodbye to the dumpster!
Our third bathroom will be gone soon! And with the dumpster gone we can park our car in the garage again.
The plaster guys came to make touch-up repairs.  We removed the protective cardboard on the floor when they left.
and turned to our next project, burning the brush pile where Wendy's garden will go.

We were finally able to reassemble our Douglas fir bed and we slept in it after many months of camping out in the house.
French doors to the master bedroom were installed.
The door to the master bath was installed.  Privacy at last!  We are still waiting for shower stall, handles to cabinets, and two more towel bars.
Last door hung was between the hall and the garage.
New safe bolted to master bedroom floor.
Dryer stacked on top of washer with new wiring.  And new laundry sink.

We are lacquering all the doors that have not been hung so far.
They look like this when finished:  master bedroom closet.
In preparation for being old people in our house, a teak seat, shower hose, and grab bar. Also good for washing feet in the summertime.  Still waiting for shower doors.
Grab bar/toilet paper holder in master bathroom.
Make-up mirror in the master bathroom.
And new medicine cabinet.
